Giving

Your faithful giving is meeting the needs of people in our church, our community, and beyond.

The money that is collected at Zion Lutheran Church is used for a variety of things. First and foremost , a minimum of 10% of all monies directly support ELCA initiatives. This includes a variety of things such as disaster relief, hunger, and foreign missions. Special offerings include donations to the Race for Hope cancer research run,  BPAN research, the local food bank, the local pregnancy center, and several local nursing homes. Other money is designated for our general budget and to meet the expenses of the small staff here at ZLC.

Yearly giving statements are available at the end of fiscal year.

How to Give:

A collection for checks or cash is taken weekly. However, Zion also offers electronic giving, which allows you to make donations on a scheduled, automatic basis. If you are writing checks and preparing envelopes every week, you will especially appreciate electronic giving. It is convenient for you and provides much-needed donation consistency for our church.

How to get started

To set up electronic donations, simply complete the authorization form on the next page and return it to the church office. Donations can be debited automatically from either a checking or savings account.
